Emotional Freedom Technique

I have been doing quite a bit of emotional healing work and as a result, my body and my state of mind have been in an uproar.
My friend, Breuk, kept telling me to try the Emotional freedom Technique. I couldn't believe that something so simple would work. Maybe I was afraid to be disappointed.
Last night, in desperation for some relief from these overwhelming feelings that would not leave my body, I tried the introductory video (see below).
I felt so much lighter...so much more positive. There was no DOUBT that I felt more freedom.
What an incredible gift.
Try it.
Tell me what you think.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a simple acupressure technique for releasing negative feelings.

You feel negative feelings in the body, so you have to go to the body to work on them. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is one way to do this.

You can release a negative feeling right now with this video. In this introductory video I explain a little bit about how Tapping works and take you through your first few sessions.

Babaji the Immortal

Haidakhan Wale Baba lived in the foothills of the Himalayas, in the Kumaon region, birth place of many of India's great saints. He was acknowledged as Shiva Mahavatar Babaji, the eternal manifestation of God in human form.

Babaji's recent physical manifestation was between 1970 to 1984, when He appeared in a holy cave at the foot of the Kumaon Mount Kailash in a remote village called Haidakhan. Many people, from all over the world, have mystically been drawn to Babaji through extraordinary events, dreams and visions and are receiving His Blessings.

Babaji urged the people to "follow the religion that is in your heart." He said "every religion leads to the same divine goal" and that he had come to revive the eternal and ageless religion, the Sanatan Dharma; the three basic principles: Truth, Simplicity, and Love. He emphasized constant repetition of the ancient Sanskrit maha mantra OM NAMAH SHIVAYA -- "Lord, Thy Will be Done" and to live in harmony along with selfless service to humanity.

Shri Babaji is acknowledged as the Shiva Mahavatar Babaji described by Paramahansa Yogananda in "Autobiography of a Yogi"': a Mahavatar being a human manifestation of the Divine who can materialize a body at will. Babaji's devotees believe that He has continually manifested since Creation to help Humanity. One manifestation of Babaji was around 1800 at which time He traveled extensively in the Kumaon region of the Himalayas, gathering his devotees and disciples around Him. In 1922 He traveled to the meeting place of the Kali and Gori Rivers, seated Himself on the surface of the water and disappeared in a ball of light.

His latest manifestation was between 1970 and 1984, and was foretold by a great Saint, Mahendra Baba, who following a lifelong search for Babaji, experienced a miraculous meeting with Him at Siddhashram, near Ranikhet in Uttar Pradesh, India. Thereafter, Mahendra Baba devoted himself to traveling through India prophesying Babaji's return.

Babaji appeared in 1970, as a youth of 18 or 20 years, in a holy cave at the foot of Kumaon Mount Kailash at Haidakhan, near Haldwani in Uttar Pradesh, India. His divine power was experienced in many ways: in September of 1970 He ascended Mount Kailash and sat on the summit without food or sleep for 45 days; several people saw Him simultaneously in different places; He healed the sick; He brought transformation into many people's lives.

Babaji spent most of His 14 year incarnation at Haidakhan where he established a beautiful ashram, and near the village of Chilianaula, near Ranikhet, He built a large and breathtakingly beautiful Temple and Ashram overlooking the Himalayas.

Babaji taught that He had come to revive the Santana Dharma, the ageless Eternal Religion from which all religions have come. He stressed three basic principles: Truth, Simplicity and Love. He emphasized constant repetition of the mantra "Om Namah Shivaya","I surrender to God", and selfless service to Mankind.

Many people have been drawn to Babaji and many spiritual centers in the West have been dedicated to Babaji and His teachings. Thousands of people all over the world have received Babaji's blessings and have been called to the spiritual path through extraordinary events, dreams and visions.

Babaji left his body on 14 February 1984. He had come to give a message to the world, and having done this, He left. His last message was:

"I am always with you".

Rasa

I racked my brain trying to think of the "perfect" way to illustrate the Sanskrit word rasa.
Maybe a little definition of the word rasa will clarify my intentions for my yoga teaching and my yoga practice.
Rasa means many things, but we will stick to the simpler meanings

Definition of rasa:
1) Flavor, taste, juice...essence
2)A subtle energy of richness, sweetness, delight

Are you getting enough "flavor" in your life...enough sweetness? Richness? Delight?
Do you substitute sugary things for real sweetness...tea and lively conversation with a friend, a good book and a fuzzy blanket, a solo trip to the museum, a candlelit bath, an hour with NOTHING on the schedule?
These are the things that feed our soul...fill our well.
We need space in ourselves and our lives to let new things come in, so we must let go of that which is no longer useful to us and pass it on to someone who does.
The practice of yoga helps us create space within ourselves...teaches to balance between effort and relaxation...doing and being...receiving and letting go.
Through recognizing that space within gives a feeling of peace, we can begin to let our outer life reflect this inner peace as well.

The Earth's 7 Chakras

Seven Chakras of the Earth
As above, so below

Verba secretorum Hermetis verum, sine mendacio, certum et verissimum:
quod est inferius est sicut quod est superius;
et quod est superius est sicut quod est inferius,
ad perpetranda miracula rei unius.
- Tabula Smaragdina
(It is true and without deceit, certain and most true: What is below is like what is above and what is above is like unto what is below and by these things occurs the miracle of just one thing)*

According to this famous quotation, what is above is like what happens below and vice-versa. This is the key to understanding the unity of everything in the Universe”[1].
According to hindu beliefs our subtle body contains over 70.000 subtle energy channels – called nadis – that transport the vital life force called Prana to all parts of the subtle body. In several places, many of those thousands of channels (nadis) intersect forming the matrix of the subtle body. These major intersections are called chakras. Our gross bodies are formed from the manifestation of the five elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space) around these intersections or chakras. In the human subtle body there are seven major chakras and each is associated with specific functions of the physical body. Likewise the material Earth, the Universe, the stars, insects and everything else that there exists work according to this very same principle.
The Earth has a subtle body with thousands of subtle energy channels that transport this Earth energy to the whole Planet and to the conscious part of the Earth who are its people. Those thousands of Earth’s subtle energy channels do intersect in hundreds or thousands of places. And as it is with the body of humans so it is with the body of the Earth. Each of these intersections are power or energy vortexes also called chakras.
There are thousands of Power Places or Places of Peace and Power around the Earth. Esoteric traditions single out seven such places to be the seven main chakras of the Earth. The chakras as singled out by different traditions may vary. Most people accept the seven main Chakras of the Earth as being: Mount Shasta, Lake Titicaca, Uluro Kattjuta, Glastonbury, Great Pyramid, Kuh-e-Malek Siah and Mount Kailash. Mount Shasta in California (USA) is the Chakra number one, Lake Titicaca in today’s Bolivia and Peru is Chakra number two, Uluro Kattjuta in Australia is Chakra number three, Glastonbury in England is Chakra number four, the Great Piramyd of Khufu in Egypt is Chakra number five, the little known and somewhat troubled mountain of Kuh-e-Malek Siah at the Triple Border area of Iran-Pakistan-Afghanistan is Chakra number six and the glorious Mount Kailash in Tibet is chakra of the Earth number seven.
There are still big auxiliary chakras connected to the five elements and many other chakras around the world honored as Sacred Sites, or Sacred Places of Peace and Power. Y-Guassu is one of these sacred auxiliary sacred sites along with Macchu Picchu, hundreds of sacred sites dotting the Andean Mountains from what today is Chile all the way to Colombia, in the Amazon jungle, as well as in the Brazilian central plateau which includes the city of Brasília. Unfortunately this book does not have enough room to explore all of these Sacred Places and important energy vortexes in South America or even Brazil.

According to most of the Earth traditions, the human body has thousands of power points that serve the purpose of processing the huge universal energies that allows us all to be alive. To these traditions, the human body has seven major energy points called chakras. In a similar fashion, as Trimegistus’ law of what is below is like that which is above and vice-versa, we are perfect copies of the universe, the planet and solar systems.
The Earth as a living organism also has these major seven chakras – or power places just like our subtle bodies.
Esoteric traditions believe in this and even goes to the extent of pinpointing which places of the Earth are such main power places.
In this sense Mountain Shasta, in California is the world chakra number one and corresponds to the Chakra number one in the human body known is the Base Chakra.

The Titicaca Lake on the border of Bolivia and Peru is Earth’s Chakra number two and corresponding to your Chakra number two known as the Navel Chakra.

Across the Pacific Ocean and more specifically in today’s Australia, we will find the Earth’s Chakra number three. It is the Uluro Kattjuta formations known by the name of Ayers Rock and the Olgas both part of the Uluro Kattjuta National Park. This chakra of the Earth corresponds to your third Chakra also as the Solar Plexus chakra.

Earth’s chakra number four is a long distance away from Uluro Kattjuta. It is locates in Glastonbury and Shaftesbury in the area of Sommerset, England. That is the Earth’s heart Chakra that correspond to your that very important Chakra in your body connected to your physical heart.

The Earth Chakra number five is the area of modern day Egypt, where the Great Pyramid is located. The Pyramid itself is the Chakra. Its correspondence in your beautiful, god-given body is the area around your throat – the Throat Chakra.
Earth
Chakra Six is the Kuh-e-malek Siah a not so tall mountain located in the Tri-point area of Iran, Afhganistan and Pakistan in the land of the Baluchi people.
Finally in this seven-chakra voyage across and around the body of the Earth we come to the Seventh Chakra, Mount Kailash in Tibet. A most sacred place for Hindus, Buddhists and the pre-buddhist, Shamanic bon po tradition.
